Creating our Children’s future

According to available data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), National AIDS and STIs Control Program (NASCOP) and other Government agencies; the HIV/AIDs scourge has continued to disadvantage various families in Kenya with the number of orphans and vulnerable children raising annually. Although the Government education system is considered to be free for basic education in Kenya (early childhood and primary level education), there are associated costs of infrastructural and learning material costs that is increasingly out of reach of most vulnerable children. Moreover, the post-primary education (secondary and college education) remains costly and expensive for the needy. Many of the vulnerable children continuously drop out of school for lack of school fees.

The foundation seeks to fill this gap by providing education for the needy and vulnerable children through sponsorships, and living expenses. The foundation also focuses on other categories of vulnerable and needy children including the infant and underage children accompanying their incarcerated mothers in prisons across the country as well as teenagers serving various prison sentences and Bristol schools.

Over the years, the foundation has supported over 212 needy and vulnerable children supported through education sponsorship and living expenses at basic and higher institutions of learning in Kenya. However, the number of those in need keep rising but the organization is resource constrained to address all the needs.

In this program, we seek support in the areas of: sponsorship for schools fees, and livelihoods for the school going children, learning materials and equipment for our prison-education support projects, vocational training support for skills development for the youth college drop-outs, disability learning equipment and materials for our disability education support project.
