Children welfare remains central for development of any nation. Kenya abides by the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child and strives to respect ‘the best interest of the child’ in all Government decisions and policy. However, there are various categories of needy and vulnerable children whose best interest is out of reach by the various Government interventions.

Beflon foundation seeks to advocate for the rights and provide for the needs of vulnerable children in various categories including; orphaned children, incarcerated children, underage children accompanying their incarcerated parents to prison, street children, abandoned children, disabled and children living with various adverse health conditions.

Our objective in this program is to enhance sensitization and awareness on the rights of these children, mobilize resources for provison of the special needs of these children such as shelter, clothing, food donations, disability equipment and materials amongst others. We also design projects aimed at tapping on the talents of these children in order to develop them through alternative learning, competency development and skills development. Such talent activities include music trainings and production studios, fine art, photography and videography skills, sports, IT and computer skills,child counselling and mentorship clinics, child rights clinics and pro-bono legal services for children amongst others.
